WHAT IS PINE CORE VENEER?
Pine core veneer is a thin wood sheet derived from pine logs. It has light yellow color and soft texture with large knots. Regarding advantages, pine is widely used due to its affordability, ease of processing, and light weight, making it a go-to material for applications where structural demands are lower.
The veneer production process involves rotary peeling to create sheets typically between 1.7mm and 2mm thick. Like other core veneers, both sides of pine veneer remain rough to allow strong bonding with adhesives during plywood lamination. Compared to acacia or eucalyptus, pine has the lowest density, which makes it much lighter, cheaper and easier to handle.
However, the softness of pine wood results in lower mechanical strength and reduced durability under high humidity or mechanical stress. It is also more prone to warping, cracking, and delamination over time if not processed or stored properly.
WHY DO WE NEED PINE CORE VENEER?
Pine core veneer is commonly used in the plywood industry for low-load applications such as packaging panels, temporary construction boards, and low-cost furniture components. It is ideal where light weight, easy machinability, and cost savings are more important than high mechanical strength.
It is widely available and grows quickly in plantation environments. Because of this, pine is one of the most economical options in the core veneer market.

WHO ARE THE SUPPLIERS FOR THIS PRODUCT?
Several countries have established themselves as strong players in the production and export of core veneer, including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and India. These nations benefit from abundant timber resources, well-developed supply chains, and large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
With core veneer mainly produced from fast-growing species like pine, Vietnamese manufacturers can offer both sustainability and cost-efficiency. Additionally, Vietnam’s manufacturers have a strong understanding of international trade practices, including documentation, inspection standards, and shipping logistics, making them reliable partners for buyers worldwide.
Thanks to its growing reputation, Vietnam is now one of the leading exporters of core veneer, particularly to markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. For importers seeking trustworthy suppliers who combine technical know-how with commercial reliability, our nation presents a compelling choice.
WHAT MAKES PINE CORE VENEER AT NEW CENTURY SPECIAL?
🌱 CLEAR & CERTIFIED MATERIAL SOURCING
We source pine logs from government-contracted plantation forests across Vietnam. These forests are legally managed for commercial harvesting, ensuring full traceability and documentation.
Key sourcing areas include: Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An. By all this, we can guarantee that our pine veneer comes from legal, sustainable sources with full compliance in forestry origin paperwork.
🏭 STRATEGIC MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
We operate two large-scale production plants located in:
-
Lang Son – close to major raw material zones
-
Bac Ninh – convenient for export logistics
Our Quality Control (QC) teams are always on-site to ensure the veneer meets required thickness and quality standards. Moreover, New Century designed a customized operation process to efficiently fulfill both custom thickness requests and high-volume international orders.
🔄 ENVIRONMENTALLY ETHICAL PRODUCTION PROCESS
Our pine veneer manufacturing minimizes waste by fully utilizing all wood residues and by-products:
-
Sawdust & shavings → used for biomass fuel, wood pellets, or particleboard
-
Small wood chips → crushed for MDF board production or fuel
-
Tree bark → repurposed for fuel or other industrial uses
-
Wood cores → ground for MDF, chipboard, or burned as eco-fuel
This circular wood use model reflects our strong commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
🪵HIGH QUALITY PRODUCTS
At New Century, quality is our top priority:
-
Our natural sun-drying process helps reduce production costs while maintaining an average moisture content below 20%, minimizing the risk of mold and deformation during transit and storage.
-
We implement strict thickness control with a tolerance of just ±0.05mm, ensuring sheets are consistently uniform. Besides, every batch is manually inspected before shipment. This gives customers peace of mind and predictable performance in downstream production.
-
All core veneer is sorted and graded carefully into Grade A and B (and even C). Also, we ensure the exact grade ratios match the contract agreement with our clients.
-
Veneer weight varies naturally depending on wood species and tree density. Growing region, age, and season are all factors that contribute to this. However, our team of experienced professionals evaluates each shipment and offers guidance to help customers manage volume expectations and optimize shipping costs.
💰 COMPETITIVE PRICING
Thanks to our efficient production processes, in-house drying, and waste-optimized raw material usage, we’re able to control costs without compromising quality.
Plus, our long-standing partnerships with reliable shipping lines and logistics providers allow us to secure preferential shipping rates, giving us an edge in offering globally competitive prices, even during market fluctuations. This makes our pine core veneer an ideal choice for importers seeking a cost-effective, high-value product.
