WHAT IS ACACIA CORE VENEER?

Acacia core veneer is a thin wood sheet derived from acacia logs. It has a rich golden-brown appearance, with a more pronounced grain and knots, especially in younger logs. Acacia is so valubale because of the balanced combination of strength and cost-effectiveness. Factories widely use this in plywood manufacturing, where moderate structural performance and workability are key considerations.

The veneer is manufactured through a rotary peeling process, where acacia logs are rotated against a sharp blade to produce sheets typically ranging from 1.7mm to 2mm in thickness. Both sides of the veneer are rough to ensure strong adhesion with glue during panel lamination. In comparison, acacia wood has a relatively lower density compared to eucalyptus, but it compensates with better pricing.

However, acacia also has some drawbacks, such as susceptibility to surface scratches and limited tolerance to prolonged damp conditions. Nevertheless, Acacia veneers offer excellent economic value.
